Alleged instruction of the security authorities
Greece is in rebellion. Despite the vast amounts of money that have been poured into the country by Euro rescue
schemes to prevent national bankruptcy. But it will be difficult to placate the masses. The Euro is tottering,
the whole European currency union is tottering. Portugal, Spain and Ireland are all facing bankruptcy, as is
Germany. This cannot be helped by diversionary manoeuvres by the government such as doctored unemployment
figures, economic data that must originate from the time of the economic miracle and silence over the actual
level of national debt. Nor is it only the Greeks who are rebelling. Other states also have their rebels. And
they will soon be out marching in the streets in protest.
A ministerial instruction is supposed to have been given by the federal government, that it must prepare itself
for eventualities approaching civil war. The people will take their anger out onto the streets; the authors of
the bankruptcy will make themselves scarce. And perhaps a miracle will still take place, and the world of
politics will finally agree to the long-overdue currency reform. The end of a dream entertained by politics;
for the people who have to pay for their daily bread, nothing will change as long as the bakers remain open.
