The Boredom Principle

The German magazine “Stern” (Issue No. 26 of 08/01/2015) has a report on “heckling” in the land of boredom. Editor Jörges writes about Merkel as follows: “We have accepted the chancellor as our legal guardian. I am not going to bother you with politics, she promises again and again. Surrender your life, I'll take care of the rest. That is the secret of her success, which makes her very motherly. She has no plan for the country or Europe. No plan for immigration. No plan for anything.”
What Jörges means is easy to understand. Politics is remote from the people, who are just supposed to nod and pay. Pay, above all. Europe needs money. The only baby that the non-mother Merkel cares for is her career, the plan for a united Europe. Jörges grumbles on justifiably: “The economy is as appealing as a rest area. On the stock exchange, computer programs in the refined rhythm of algorithms bamboozle small investors. The powerful industrialist, who cultivates children like the farmer plants beats, has seen better days.”
We at the Alliance for Democracy believe Jörges has described Germany’s situation perfectly. Too bad so few solutions are offered. Our suggestion is: Get rid of Merkel & Co., abandon the euro and implement currency reform immediately. This would help our powerless citizens, who would like have a say in their lives but can’t, and are subject to destructive rather than constructive policies.
